Cricinfo Mobile & July Systems Bring Cricket World Cup 2007 to US Mobile Subscribers
Santa Clara, CA, Mar 26 2007 – Cricinfo Mobile, the leading provider of cricket-related mobile applications and services, and July Systems, the premier provider of mobile content retailing and marketing solutions, announced they have launched a mobile subscription service around the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007, the world’s largest cricketing event. The service will bring real-time World Cup match scores, live statistics, match schedules, latest results, player news, and alerts to subscribers on their mobile phones for just $3.99 per month. Initially available with direct billing to Cingular subscribers in the US, the service will be extended to include other major US operators in the coming weeks. It is also available to subscribers of major operators globally via credit card billing.

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 is one of the largest sporting events globally. Currently taking place in the West Indies and scheduled to run till April 28th, the event has contesting teams from 16 nations including India, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, England, and South Africa, and is televised in over 200 countries to a viewing audience estimated at more than 2 billion viewers.

“Cricket is a sport that lends itself perfectly to mobile coverage.” said Anil Nair, Creative Head, Wireless Media, Cricinfo “The length of time over which the game is played means many consumers cannot watch broadcasts of entire matches and want anytime anywhere access to the latest news and results. July Systems helps us give World Cup cricket fans exactly what they are looking for – a real-time, information rich mobile service that lets them experience the on-field action wherever
they are.”

Cingular subscribers in the US can currently access the service in two easy ways. They can visit the Cricinfo website at www.cricinfo.com and enter their mobile number in the box provided in the World Cup mobile service area. They will instantly receive a text message on their phone with a URL link to the service WAP site. Alternately, subscribers can go to MEdiaNet on their Cingular phones and enter wap.cricinfo.com in the browser URL area to go directly to the service.

The World Cup mobile service with Cricinfo is a part of India2Go, July Systems’ direct-to-consumer mobile portal providing culture-specific content, information and services targeted at the expatriate Indian community in the US and elsewhere.

"The Cricket World Cup mobile service with Cricinfo continues July’s recent record of successes in the mobile sports arena.” said Kelvin Rowlette, EVP Global Sales and Business Development, July Systems. "With the Smart Mobile Media Service, July continues to empower sports, media and entertainment brands to package and deliver new services that reach more consumers, tap new revenue opportunities, and strengthen brand interaction with consumers."
